Transfer News - Manutd Target Rumours
I listed here latest players in Manutd wanted lists!!
1. Hammers’s Carlos Tévez ( Argentinian )
Carlos Tévez’s future is expected to be resolved within the week, with the Argentina forward close to an agreement with Manchester United or Inter Milan. Inter have made an offer for Tévez, who was largely responsible for keeping West Ham United in the Premiership last season.
2. Athletico Madrid’s Fernando Torres ( Spanish ) Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been linked with moves for Torres in the past and would be forced to offer at least £15million for his services. Tottenham, West Ham and Newcastle also have the funds to mount rival bids - but the lure of Champions League football gives the big four a major advantage. The 23-year-old has scored 82 goals in 212 league appearance for Atletico, while his record for Spain is 14 in 42 games.
Atletico Madrid will spark a transfer scramble next week by confirming that star striker Fernando Torres will be in the summer sales.
Manchester United and Liverpool are ready to pounce for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o.
Amid reports from France that Thierry Henry is closing in on a move to Barca, the Daily Mail says the Spanish giants look as though they could soon be searching for a replacement for Eto’o.
Relations between the 26-year-old Cameroon striker and Barca have disintegrated in recent months and he is almost certain to leave this month. Manchester United, Liverpool and Milan are keen to sign him.
4. Ajax’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar ( Dutch )
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson remains keen on Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Ferguson has made personal checks on the Dutchman this season and is weighing up a bid for the prolific forward.
However, it’s understood Juventus have the inside-running for Huntelaar thanks to the groundwork laid in recent months by director Roberto Bettega - a frequent visitor to Holland.
5. Porto’s Pepe ( Brazillian )
Porto defender Pepe has suggested he could be following Anderson to Manchester United this summer.
The Brazilian-born defender, a favourite of Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, is set to gain his Portuguese passport and join Luiz Felipe Scolari’s national team.
Asked about the possibility of facing his old teammate, Anderson, in the future, Pepe told Maisfutebol: “We could also be teammates. Football works in many ways.
“I have a contract with Porto and I am happy. But if a good offer arrives, we will have to sit down and consider it.” .
6. Indepediante’s Oscar Ustari ( Argentinian )
Manchester United have reportedly joined the chase for Independiente goalkeeper Oscar Ustari.
Reports in Argentina suggest United have expressed an interest in the highly-rated keeper and that a club official has travelled to South America to hold talks with Independiente.
Independiente president Julio Comparada says he has not had any contact with United regarding Ustari, but admitted they could consider any offer for the player.
“I have heard in the radio what has been said about that Manchester United are interested in our goalkeeper but I haven’t received any offer yet,” Comparada told the Argentine press.
“Maybe someone has got in touch with the player. We aren’t doing anything for selling him because we aren’t currently in a financial hurry.
“Anyway, if there is a proposal that is very interesting for the player and the club then we will analyse it.”
7. Flamengo’s Renato Augusto ( Brazillian )
Liverpool and Manchester United have both made approaches to Flamengo for attacking midfielder Renato Augusto.
Radio Globo says before United expressed interest last week about a £12 million deal for the Brazilian teenager, Flamengo actually had rejected a £9 million offer from Liverpool.
Asked about interest from the Premiership giants, Renato simply laughed leaving the question unanswered.
